I picked the underdog Ghana and it seems that they are living up to expectations. Great observations and insight into this World Cup.

It's obvious you haven't watched much US soccer...US has been playing well for a while...did you notice the performances of CONCACAF teams in this WC?

US/Germany will draw...and that's all she wrote for Ghana and Portugal

I must admit that I have not followed or watch much of US Soccer. I am still convinced that Germany will defeat the USA. Ghana will defeat Portugal and move on.

Check out Kari's observation.

Even if Ghana beat Portugal and US lose...it all depends on the goal difference for Ghana to advance

Look, Kari thougt the Pacers will beat the Heat, enough said..I am sure he thought Ghana will beat US...as well as Portugal beating US

Germany/US will draw...neither team has any reason to go for the win

Ray, in 1982 Germany and Austria (close kinship) colluded in their last match so that each can go through. Kilnsmann and the German coach are buddies but it's unlikely they will do the same and
play" to a draw so that both the US and Germany will go through.

I followed the US games and even saw them against Brazil at the Meadowlands when I saw Neymar for the first time. Klinsmann is a terrific coach and has played foreign-born players like Fabian Johnson and Jermaine Jones, etc., (and I like that midfielder Zusi who plays weighted passes into space) who play in European leagues. The US has always produced world-class goalkeepers. That said this German side is probably the strongest (even though Brazil is my favorite and has loads of talent), and Ghana made them look ordinary. I also follow Ghanaian soccer and these guys play a lot in Serie A in Italy. They're damn good.

Klinsmann has me believing with the crisp passing and so on, but the US has a weakness with crosses. There is no way we beat Germany and watch what Ghana will do to Portugal. Ghana is one team no one wants part of.

Kari

I not saying we will beat Germany...I think it will be a draw, especially if at halftime no team has scored as yet. They will figure, why stress if a tie will send them both thru. Germany will still be the leader of the group. This even happens in NBA when teams sometimes tank to get a top draft pick or just to save their players for the big games ahead
