Can you do a Havan on your own?

Yes!  I attended the Hindu Temple at Cove and John from 1954 to 1964

It was run by Swami Purnanandaji Maharaj of Calcutta.  I used to sing Bhajans and recite the Hawan Puja under the guidance if Bramchari Govind.  I actually don't do it anymore.  I still have my havan books.

Why do you ask

He means he has a copy of the Hindutvam(sp.?).  The ashram made that book very popular.

It was near to my Grandfather's Shop by the GG Railway station. My grandfather's shop was also burned down. I have lots of memories of that school. I attended classes in the evening. The girl was also beautiful.

It is unfortunate that the disturbances led to the displacement of so many from that area.    It sounds like GG/Nabaclis was a thriving community.
