Each time the opposition brings a useless, toothless and unconstitutional motion to parliament it places an enormous burden on the tax payers of this country. This was revealed in parliament recently when Speaker of the National Assembly, Raphael Trotman, ruled on whether to hold a special Sitting of the National Assembly at the behest of Opposition Leader David Granger. Granger requested the sitting to facilitate the APNU's 'no confidence' motion against Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee.
In his response to Granger, and dated July, 20, 2012, Trotman informed that β€œThe Clerk advises that the cost of convening the National Assembly is $1,712, 527.00 (one million seven hundred and twelve thousand, five hundred and twenty-seven dollars); which amount has to be requisitioned.”
This amount covers mostly meals and other refreshments provided in the parliamentary lounge.

It has you freedom house disciples running hither thither to add plaster and mortar to hide the view the public is now having at the infestation of parasites in their midst.

Unfortunately, the patronage system and corrupt accretions in the PPP will take more than a mild disinfecting through attempts to harness the constitution to correct it. It will mean correcting the constitution itself since it is its inherent failure that allowed the kleptocrats in the PPP to raise two Pradovilles in our midst, use NICIL to convert state assets to private hands of members of their coven and to access double and triple helpings of  our nations cash.

Guyana has a chance to see clearly through the grime of the PPP because of the new dispensation in the legislature. Resistance to change in this new reality is futile. Bats like you know that because every morning the warlocks in the PPP coven are screaming directives to you to plug this or that hole least they have your ass.

My soul? What is that? I am speaking to a moral imperative. The legislators are working as they see fit in representing their constituents. The PPP most certainly cannot be possessed of immaculate perception. They had 20 years of autocratic, unaccountable use of power.

The waste there is seen in the rise of contract workers where permanent workers serve better and are better represented, the the rise of fatcatdom among in the freedom house coven, and the layering of our society with a system of patronage rather than one grounded on merit.

That is what is being deconstructed. Imagine only the OP double dippers were revealed. How many more exists! There is a lot of crud to be brought to the attention of some opposition disinfection.

It is their duty as legislators to use the assembly to express and to try to legislate into existence what they see are the basic needs of the People.

I wonder if the double and triple dipping into the states coffers not to mention 20 years of bench warning in that august body and doing little to forward our democracy has not cost us billions?

We have not had a local elections in 17 years!

The basic needs of the people comes at a cost of $26,000 per parliamentarian. This figure is mostly for meals.

Consideration the proliferation of useless motions being put forward by the opposition I'd say that it is a waste of money.
