Words out from the political grapevine.

1) If you do, it's rumored that the AFC gave up the odds of winning and already conceded the 2011 election.
NOTE: When you're confident of losing, it's wise to hold on to campaign finance funds as what the AFC has done so far.

2) One AFC executive was ready to jump ship "once again" if the PPP offer was sweeter. (I never knew Ramjattan folks can play the hop-scotch?)
NOTE: This is a sign that money can buy loyalty.

3) APNU making concessions to work along with the PPP with certain conditions in place. It's another way to say we're not going to win, and we have to butter up.
NOTE: Do you blame them?

4) The AFC is gracing the name of Moses Nagamootoo and other grassroots PPPites just for fame and fortune.
NOTE: Moses will never join the AFC and here's the reason why. If Moses is a no-nonsense guy, equipped with the Jagan's, philosophy, why would he want to work beside a hypocrite like Raphael Trotman?

Cobra's note: PPP is the winner by popular demand. Now that Sam Hinds is on the PPP ticket, it makes it all the better. We have a mature team of two qualified men who will take Guyana to greater heights.

Why delve in rumors when facts are abundant. We have insider trading at CLICO and no one is called to justice. We have a National lottery that is the President slush fund. We have in-transparent financial dealings across the board at all levels from the Butty grant, the Flip deal and the sale of Lenora. One does not have to look far for facts. But then there are the ever present shills like yourselves who would rather we not look and instead depend on rumor mongering and muck raking to blind us to the naked corruption and culture of thievery is the PPP administration. Thieves are only popular with fences.

D2: Why are you so worked up over witty rumors? I never see you like this before. You really bet a fortune on a losing horse. Great gamblers always know the odds of winning. Let's forget about rumors and embrace the facts. Do you honestly believe the AFC can pull off the 2011 election?

Secondly, why are you alluding to arm the indigenous people to rise against the government and cause unrest? An act of violence is not in the best interest of the Amerinds people. Furthermore, no one really own the earth as their own. It's all borrowed land on borrowed time. Nothing is permanent in this world, and all things are subject to change over time.

I happen to be one of those not moved by jokes unless they are good. The banality of these left them wanting.

I am also not betting on horses. If you treat this as a game among hapless gamblers then that is not as I see it. From my point of view it is a strategic interaction of rational players and winning is not simply about who is first in this race.

The winner does not get the prize to himself. The winner is supposed to manage the prize for winners and losers. The game extends to means to ensure this horse does not eat all the hay as is his gluttonous inclinations. We play fully equipped with the means to suppress the excesses of his appetite.

This is an Indian identified and Indian affirmed government. They like the previous administration identified culturally as afro centric never had native peoples concerns on equal footing as theirs. No one owns the earth but just as we have nations with defined borders and cultures with defined belief systems and sacred places where people feel a sense of belonging to this world, native people have a right to be counted in that understanding.

The race you speak of is a race for control of that social space and Native people have defined rights in that place preceding the existence of the state. That you want to play here means you must play with the understanding that we existed before you in this place and are not to be excluded because you have superior numbers and democracy affords you the chance to always be among the winners. As I said, we must belong and if in winning we lose that sense of belonging then we fight by any means necessary.

Van West Charles was booted from the PNC/APNU for the likes of his FIL Burnman, and his self-fulfilling ambition. The AFC is recruiting all PNC rejects to gain old-time fame that doesn't resonate well with main-stream Guyanese. If the AFC is really a party of change, they should be able to recruit new and young blood of Guyanese to join. Something that will connect with the youths and working class citizens, not old-time criminals. The AFC image has damaged further with VW Charles on board. No sugar coating can take away the muck from Burnham son-in-law.
