here you go Nehru

what has he done?

He joined with the LGBT community in Richmond Hill and tried desperately to close the Player's Bar even though he had no real basis for this stance.

Is he a "closet LGBTQ member"

Vish,

What is the reason for this ridiculous  question?

Because he is blind to their agenda, he invoke the wroth of a Christine Quinn to support his agenda in his effort to get blood from the owner of Players Restaurant

the LGBTQ group was doing their stuff at the Players and after many hours of free drinks, someone elected to deposit some ice in the private quarter of a male looking, female acting LGBTQ member

Wars broke out on the pavement of the Players; face scratching,  hair pulling and jumping on the back of a heavyset drummers   Basically a storm in a teacup but Richard did not stop there

He organized a protest rally and invoke the stake for the heart, "gay discrimination and Gay bashing"

NYPD was requested repeatedly but upon review if a tape it was not acted upon

He could not stop, he called in National Gay Activists and all the local media.  They read a statement of support from Quinn

But again it was a storm in a teacup, yet he wanted to shutdown a $1 million investment based on the fantasy of a few partygoers

RHEDC was opposed to his action and to steps to neutralize this misplaced, vindicative and provocative plan of action

more to follow

You are a funny fella!

IF you are so opposed to Mr. Richard David , why did you make a monetary contribution to his campaign ?

Secondly, Are you currently actively involved with Ms. Hettie Powell camp, who is an opponent to Mr, David?

This is not about anything funny

He was the VP for NYCEDC for many years yet he NEVER help Richmond Hill directly or indirectly in his professional capacity

never even as an advisor

He never help us in the Liberty Ave business corridor

They have nuff black skin people too.  Yet you howl and scream that David is showing that he does have some support from them.

From what I know of the NYCEDC a mere "VP" lacks clout. In addition that agency is interested in big ticket items.  Being a man of color he would have been struggling to maintain his career at that agency which favors those with strong ties to mainstream real estate interests.

Just be glad that he will bring knowledge about how the city really works, maybe more of this than any city council person that this district has had.

Thanks for this information Pointy.

This boy Vishnu is something else, that's the reason he cannot answer my questions.

He is working for candidate Hettie , opponent to Richard David.  This little prick then come on GNI and ask questions and then use this forum to try to smear Mr. Daivd.

I always maintain that that there was a valid reason why Ed, Baldeo and the others cut off his pony tail and finger his BT.

Vish you bought her over  and position yourself and her at the entrance of the male section knowing that women are not allowed in the male section and was trying to have her interact with male worshipers. You should have soem rspect for any place of worship. Another thing if you are so interested in the welfare of the community how come i have never seen you ant any of the interfaith community meetings?

District 28

After being convicted of fraud and grand larceny, Ruben Wills was set to be expelled from the City Council under state law. Now that Wills is out of the picture, a few Democrats have entered the fight over the newly vacant council seat. Prior to Wills’ departure, Democratic contenders included Hettie V. Powell, an attorney who secured 33 percent of the vote in the 2013 primary, and Richard David, who has worked in the leadership of the city’s Economic Development Corp. They have since been joined by Anthony D. Andrews Jr., the Democratic district leader for the 32nd Assembly District, and Jahi A. Rose, Wills’ former director of constituent affairs. Adrienne Adams, chairwoman of Queens Community Board 12, joined the race with an endorsement from Rep. Joe Crowley, who also serves as the Queens County Democratic Party chairman. The Queens Democratic machine had previously put its weight behind Wills, so his departure opens up a free-for-all for the seat.

The Republican race features accountant Ivan Mossop, who was endorsed by the Queens County Republican Party, and a comeback bid by Allan Jennings, who previously held the seat but was censured by the City Council when two female subordinates accused him of sexual harassment. Calls to the campaign seeking confirmation that the candidate is the same Jennings were not returned.

This fella has worked along with the crook Ruben Wills and down zoned my community. By doing so, we cannot expand our homes to accommodate our children and our parents. Our homes have lost significant $$ value due to his action and support.

The Zoning was changed from R5 to R4

The FAR was changed from 1.25 to 0.90

He also NEVER help our Business Corridor whilst posing as a VP of NYCEDC.

He even brought his LGBTQ group to try to shut down Players Restautant on Liberty Ave

I lost property value due to his action and cannot support his for further "distruction" of my community or our businesses

Don't know if you know this but there are tons of VPs at the NYCEDC.  What were his responsibilities?  Did he even have an ability to help?  Often community folks don't understand the mission of these places enough and assume that anyone with a title can help.  That usually NOT being the case.

NYCEDC has 11 EVPs so goodness knows how many VPs that they have.  The trajectory of his career suggests to me that he didn't even have the ability to swat a fly while at the NYCEDC.  Those with juice move on to real estate development, or investment banking. He moved onto to social services.

I RAISED THE QUESTIONS YOU ARE ASKING

1. He  never changed his name, that was family name all along....from birth!

2. Yes, he is a Muslim.

Mr. David went on to say  said that since he started the Indo Caribbean Alliance , he knew you to be a supporter.  Over the years you always praised him for the good  work that he is doing with our youths  AND AS A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER.

The facts are overwhelming

Richard never supported me when I fought against the NYC Board of Education to remove the trailers from Richmond Hill HS and requested a brand new court yard with a Tennis court

He never support me when I challenged the NYCBOE to replace its lame Principal

Richard never help the RHEDC to promote the development of a Business Improvement District along Liberty Ave

Richard never supported RHEDC with its Green Agenda

a - Planting 28 New Trees along Liberty Ave

b - Distribution of 2000 Daffodil bulbs yearly at Smoky Oval

c - Distribution of 500 Rainwater Barrels annually at Smokey Oval

d - Yearly Re-Habitation and sprucing up of Smoky Oval

He never support my weekly Senior Citizen Information Session except when he needed signed petitions

He never support RHEDC with our drive to add more garbage bins along Liberty Ave and to increase the frequency of garbage pickup

He never assisted in getting Liberty Ave and Lefferts Blvd to be priority Traffic corridors during a snow Storm

He never support RHEDC to UP Zone the Liberty Ave and 101st Ave  business corridors

He never assisted the RHEDC to get free Tickets for the children in Richmond Hill for the USOPEN kids Day

He never support RHEDC to get the IDNYC program in Richmond Hill

He never Support RHEDC in any capacity even though he was a VP at NYCEDC

Richard never support RHEDC challenge of the MTA (violation of 1990 ADA act) for the installation of the Elevator at Lefferts Blvd Station and upgrade of the 5 stations to comply with the ADA standard

But he support Wills to DOWN ZONE my Community

He attempted to closed down Players Restaurant

a contribution of $30 is just a token gesture

It was also a signal for cooperation but it was never requested nor respected.

I have done community services in Richmond Hill for more than 30 years.

I know this community better than any other person as I am still an active member after 30 years

Big Unions are supporting Mr. David!

We're honored to receive the endorsement of CWA District 1, one of the largest unions in the country, representing more than 150,000 workers. "This year we are pleased to support a large group of City Council incumbents who have been fighting for working people over the last four years in New York City. We are also excited about the opportunity to elect a new group of pro-worker candidates who will strengthen the Council’s progressive bloc. We need elected officials who are committed to fight for good jobs, take on Wall Street and stand with public sector workers,” said Dennis Trainor, Vice President of the Communications Workers of America, District 1. #VoteForRichard #cd28 #1u
