WELL! THIS IS HOW THINGS STAND AT THE START OF DAY 3

1. APNU-AFC said they had an insurmountable lead and these are the numbers they gave:

182,176 votes = APNU/AFC

157,947 votes = PPP

* That's a lead of 24,229 votes by APNU/AFC

2. The PPP condemned APNU/AFC's declaration above and gave out these numbers----these numbers are from 2213 SOPs out of 2299

182,662 = PPP

151,095 = APNU/AFC

* That's a lead of 31,567 votes by the PPP

Here are comments by President Ramotar:

“We have won Regions One, Two, Three, Five, Six, not clear where Region Eight is as yet, but we have won Region Nine. We have won clearly six regions,” the President further pointed out.

Though confident that the PPP/C will return to Government, Ramotar stressed that he would not declare victory, noting that had it not been for the APNU/AFC’s pronouncement, PPP/C would not have disclosed its figures. “I just wanted to clear the air…,” he added.

If it comes down to trust, then I will go with Granger, as in my personal dealings with Ramotar I have found him to be a Liar.

My honest belief is that the APNU/AFC has taken this one away.

* When APNU/AFC declared their numbers---the Rev said OK---APNU/AFC won---good luck to the WINNERS.

* But then Ramotar came out and said the PPP won 6 regions and were ahead by 31K votes.

* I really hope is not Ramotar LYING because I hold him to a higher standard.

BOTTOM LINE:

* GECOM'S numbers, when they do come out, are GOSPEL and must be respected by all.
