Skeldon moneychanger robbed of $3M

A Skeldon moneychanger was yesterday robbed of $3M in local and foreign currency while on his way to ply his trade at the Skeldon Market by three unmasked bandits armed with a cutlass.

After the robbery police questioned the man as to how he was able to accumulate such a large sum of money.

Daneshwar Panalall, also known as `Peter’, 40, of Lot 114 Eliza Mary, Springlands, Corentyne, explained that he was heading to work around 7.15 am yesterday on his motorcycle when the three men, one of whom was armed with a cutlass, attacked him at the head of his street.

Imagine how Guyana police wrong sided and wrong and strong:

"After the robbery police questioned the man as to how he was able to accumulate such a large sum of money."

The man is money changer, do they expect him to have $ 50 ?

SMH, this can only happen under AFC PNC !!!

Sean, by your logic, this must be the first time a moneychanger got robbed, nah bai. During PPP time none a dis happen. Was smooth sailing dem time, nah suh?

Perhaps but not so rampant under PPP. Crime is out of control under AFC PNC. My wife fled Guyana after one week she was visibly shaken up at the number of robberies happening. Bandits attempted to rob a money changer at No. 69 Village while she was there.

People now have to sleep with one eye open while they visit Guyana under AFC PNC.

First of all...where did this "coolie boy" get this sum of money?

Second, if he is a legitimate moneychanger, he should have armed himself.

Third, how do you let 3 men carrying cutlasses rob you in a place as bright as day with many other people around?

My guess is this crime was committed by people who live in the area and will be caught real soon,

.Guyana is truly a backward country.
