The populace are sheep. They have always voted like sheep. This is a chance to show they are thinking beings.3

A victory for the PPP means we have that odious bug eyed cretin with a propensity to sit on his fat behind and get rich while his charge fails. H is only clear expertise and due diligence is to see his kin attach themselves to a teat so they can suckle themselves fat off the nations resources.

Talking like a mindless zombie will not make it so. The historical records indicate they vote race and have voted race since the founding of the nation. It is not likely to be different this time. If they do it is solely on account of the AFC in the mix. I however doubt that pattern will change.

Why don't you demonstrate their multiplicity with the historical data? How come in court they cannot present us with one ambassadorial post manned by a person of African heritage? They are "multiethnic" in words not deeds. We are at each other's throat constantly because of race. The PNC is is a euphemism for black people party. Similarly the PPP is a euphemism for "coolie". Those APNU folks were not saying they are tired of the muiltiethnic party!

PPP/C public meeting at Whim attracts massive crowd - AFC jeered

Georgetown, GINA, November 8, 2011

The ruling People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) took its campaign to Whim, Corentyne Berbice this afternoon, holding a public meeting that attracted a crowd large enough to constitute a campaign rally.

President Bharrat Jagdeo arrived some distance away from the village to waves and cheers before proceeding on foot to the meeting site North of the village in the company of an entourage of supporters.

Presidential Candidate Donald Ramotar later joined the Head of State, Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee, Chairman of Region Six Zulfikar Mustapha, Anil Beharry and Pastor Philip Rose as they addressed the residents.

The meeting was held a short distance away from the house of former PPP/C Member Moses Nagamootoo and was filled with jeers for the now Alliance For Change (AFC) campaigner who held a meeting in the area three weeks ago.

Chants of “Nagamootoo is a liar” filled the air when President Jagdeo alluded to recent remarks he made that the ruling party “screwed” sugar workers, a claim which the Head of State debunked.
“Sugar was in trouble, sugar prices got cut by 36 percent in the European Union, we lost $9B, every Caribbean country decided to get out of sugar (but) we said in Guyana sugar is important so we are going to pump $4B into sugar,” President Jagdeo said.

Fingers were pointed at the AFC Presidential Candidate Khemraj Ramjatatn for opposing the move to inject money into the sugar industry but at the same time appeared on television stations in Berbice claiming that the government is treating the sugar industry with indifference.

“We will not shut down sugar,” was the assurance given by Ramotar while addressing the Whim residents and debunking Nagamootoo for his criticism of the Government and the sugar industry.
“We have done all we can to save the sugar industryâ€Ķ we have cogeneration plant, we have a new packaging plant to add value to sugar so that we can save the sugar industry and we are going to continue to work so that we can refine sugar,” Ramotar said.
Earlier President Jagdeo had assured residents that “sugar is safe under Ramotar” but the focused was on Nagamootoo and the other senior figures in the party, Ramjattan and Prime Ministerial Candidate Raphael Trotman.

Nagamootoo, according to President Jagdeo, has a track record of lying, claiming that the late President Dr Cheddi Jagan was in favour of him (Nagamootoo) being the Presidential candidate.
“Recently he started saying he left the PPP because we are corrupt but just four months ago he was struggling to be the leader of this ‘corrupt’ party,” President Jagdeo said.
Minister Rohee flayed Nagamootoo for claiming that the current PPP/C is betraying the legacy of the Jagans and pointed to investments in the Bridge river bridge, the New Amsterdam Hospital and the establishment of water supply systems in many of the villages as fulfillment rather than betrayal of legacy.
