Is there nothing that the PNC did after December 21, 2018 that you finds troubling?

Why are you taking it upon yourself to carry PNC water? What is the sought off rewards?

Do they had the right to challenge ??? regarding your other sentence that's your perception.

Do you know an amendment to the Constitution by the PPP ,wasn't not deemed democratic by the CCJ. That amendment was to prevent voting against your party, don't hear the talking heads mentioning anything.

The court is the cathedral of law and order. Their judgment was final. There is no current challenges to their ruling so not having elections by September 18 deemed the Coalition illegal.

Is that the same constitution that you constantly criticize when you are trying to excuse  the PNC behavior?

The document is criticized , because it was written to give maximum power to the head of state. The PNC and PPP are aware of this ,and they embraced wholeheartedly.

Both parties have used the power given to achieve what they wanted. Many times i have called for the document to be dumped and new should be in place that suited the multi ethnic population of the country.

Yes, that’s PNC for you. They are now pissing off students and their parents and were wondering why the got kicked at LGE and why their support base did not turn out to vote for them.

Really!   You mean the PPP mayors now run G/Town and Linden?   I didn't know that the PPP beat the PNC in areas where the PNC normally ran.

Note to you.  Learn what local government elections are. In G/T they are voting for CITY COUNCIL.  The PNC won!  Ditto Linden and in all the usual PNC strongholds.

Regarding the valid passing of a non-confidence vote in parliament; as done in December 2018 and upheld by the CCJ Judgement in 2019; the Granger-government MUST resign and hold elections within three months from the official CCJ judgement -- by end of September 2019.

Relevant section of the Guyana Constitution ---

Section 106, Subsections (6) and (7) ...

(6) The Cabinet including the President shall resign if the Government is defeated by the vote of a majority of all the elected members of the National Assembly on a vote of confidence.

(7) Notwithstanding its defeat, the Government shall remain in office and shall hold an election within three months, or such longer period as the National Assembly shall by resolution supported by not less than two-thirds of the votes of all the elected members of the National Assembly determine, and shall resign after the President takes the oath of office following the election.”

Don't pick and choose [with the bold] , read the clause entirely.

All authorities are required to act , what is stipulated in the article.

Succinctly, Guyana Constitution, Section 106, Subsections (6) & (7)

Successful passing of a no confidence vote in parliament ...

1. Government MUST resign.

2. Government remains in office ONLY for elections within three months.

3. Extension to the three-month period can only be granted with the approval of two-thirds or more of ALL members of parliament.

As mentioned specific words aren't only to be taken.

By the way the Election Commission is responsible for elections ,not the Government or the Opposition.

Guyana Election Commission ( GECOM) conducts elections in Guyana.

GECOM does not determine, in any way, shape of form, the date and constitutionality of the laws of Guyana.

Their readiness does not determine a date for elections contrary to the relevant section(s) of the Constitution.

GECOM must be cognizant that in the event of a successful passing of a no confidence vote in parliament; it must be ready to effect elections in the specified time frame.

That is what is expect a clueless, incompetent Govt to say/do. If they know there is a problem, they need to address the problem and plan to combat the foreseeable problem. To do so you have to be competent, knowledgeable, proactive and have a brain much larger then a Pea.  Are you saying also that there are too many road deaths so they need to close all roads?????????

Just excuses. Follow it the way you would have argued it had Charrandas not sided with the PPP. All you have done since the vote is Parrot what the PNC has been spouting. Remember you were on the wrong track with what constitutes absolute before I pointed out that absolute means ALL MPs HAD to vote. You were parroting Williams’ nonsense and pulling cases from all over the world that had no basis on Guyana.

In response to the topic, the government is chasing its tail and making stupid excuses. Those same kids go to school everyday and can do the same things then. They can still honor the tradition and put in place actions to keep it under control.

I speak of my own accord and comment on what is presented. How often do you see me scanning the media to post anything?

You stated that you are here to offer the other side. Why do you do that since you claim you are not of the other side? Dave is not ashamed to state that he is with the PPP.

What !!! i make my own call ,perhaps it may seem i am speaking for them. All articles posted on GNI are from independent media from Guyana , check the source if they are from the Government mouth pieces.

I don't belong to no political parties in Guyana ,i am registered as an independent in the US.

I don't think that's what im saying at all. In the case of road deaths, u dont close the roads. U stop the jackasses who drive like nutjobs from getting behind the wheel of any vehicle. In the case of Xmas parties, u don't close the schools either,  but u shut down the events preventing these teenage upstarts from engaging in this lawless behaviour they've come to exhibit.

Simple enough?
