"Chase them out" is causing racial tension between Afro and Indo-Guyanese as election approaches. Hurtful words live in people for a long time. Afro-Guyanese would rather live in poverty, but knowing that they feel wanted to support their own kind is good enough than to be neglected by an Indo government as second class citizens. "Chase them out" and PPP is a "coolie party" have driven a wedge between Afro and Indo-Guyanese.

The election is two months away and the PPP sending Afro supporters in PNC areas to face confrontation. Imagine what would have happened if they had sent Indians. PPP sewed the seeds of hate and its supporters watered them to fruition.

The assault on the PPP will continue until the skin teeth are over.

The attack on PPP supporters who are predominantly indians will continue. The PPP higher ups are protected.

The stakes are higher. The PNC will not relinquish power so easily.  This is not a doomsday prophesy, but with oil flowing the possibilty for racial disturbances looms very large.

I agree and we are seeing a preview of what's ahead. Meanwhile coolies continue to exhibit their ignorance that they are top before the first vote, while Afros are not afraid to block PPP campaigners.
