He didn't betray his party because according to the CCJ ruling he is not obligated to be a rubber stamp to his party. But most important was that he stopped his party from betraying the people of Guyana.

He said at that party that his comrades held for him on Sunday that if Lawrence had been given that timeout he would have been replaced by someone who was unwilling to stop his party from betraying the people of Guyana. He said that early in the day Lawrence threatened anyone who voted against the NCM. He did the noble thing in supporting the NCM and today Guyana is in better management.

The fact is he betrayed his party. You long windedness does not justify his disloyalty. He cannot be trusted.

Errol is no flippin hero for Guyanese people in my books. He was a member of the coalition that took advantage of the Guyanese people that led to the hardship so many had to face. Voting for the NCM was barely a start to atone for his sins by association with the barefaced cheating coalition. He should just keep his mouth shut and fizzle away. It is despicable how people like him would put on the cloak of religion to make an impression but they are really morally bankrupt and deceitful at heart.

@kp - As you know and stated, in life there are many scammers, swindlers and cheats that uses religion or culture to take advantage of  society, and shame on them. Shame on us also when we allow that to happen in our midst, at our functioning level, but it is even a bigger shame when we promote or let it exist at the highest seat for our people, in parliament or any position of power.

Religion / culture is a powerful tool available to elevate mankind, but it should not be mis-used. We should always call out the opportunists them who mis-uses it to self promote.

There are folks out there that uses it for the right reasons, and these people should be given the accolades. The funny thing is that in most cases, they prefer to do what they do with out the need for accolades.
