President of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), Dr. William Warren Smith says the bank will continue to consolidate its position with Guyana in an effort to improve the quality of life for all citizens. His comments came moments after a meeting with President David Granger and Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo at the Ministry of the Presidency today, a release from GINA said.

This GINA photo shows President David Granger (fourth from left), the CDB President William Warren Smith (fifth from left) and Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo (sixth from left) with ministers and officials of the bank who were present.

BENN DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT.

The honeymoon period for the de facto Government, APNU+AFC coalition appears to be over and the harsh reality of empty, reckless campaign promises is now exposed. The APNU+AFC coalition is unable to reduce VAT to levels and increase public servants’ wages and salaries by 20 percent as promised on the campaign trail.

This, early and frank, admission of broken promises was made by Finance Minister Winston Jordon during a budget consultation meeting, hastily summoned last week, with General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party/ Civic Clement Rohee and other senior members of the opposition grouping.

Incidentally, the de facto Government has found $1B to seek to purchase luxury vehicles for its Ministers. The PPP believes this is most inexcusable, “since the APNU+AFC Government has abandoned its election promises of a reduction in the Value Added Tax (VAT) and a 20% pay increase for Public Servants, claiming there is no money in the treasury.”

Being a former administrator with poor character and poor performance is like being a jackass.

There is nothing to do but watch the new administrators press on with a program better than yours and regretting every moment that you messed up.

Where will Robseon bein 2025, because that is when the PPP will stand a chance to regain Government?
