Too much talking; too many press conferences, too many press releases yet government not budging:

Time for action!!

No cane must be planted or harvested no factory must grind;

Call for a general strike;

Occupy parliament ;

Organize a Solidarity March from Crabwood Creek to Charity;

Hold vigils outside PM’s residence and the Green House;

Hold massive demonstrations in Georgetown;

Whip up international support;

Call for an international boycott of Guyana’s sugar;

Stop sugar from being exported from our shores;

Shut down the entire industry. Why must some work while others starve?

Establish a Solidarity Fund for sugar workers;

The sugar industry must not be allowed function according to the whims and fancies of a discredited government!

The Granger administration is bold enough to close down estates and throw thousands on the bread line.

Why should Guyanese who will suffer not be bold enough to take action in defense of their legitimate interests and livelihoods?

One for All and All for One!!

Solidarity forever!!

No to business as usual in the sugar industry!

Onwards to Victory through militancy!

The goat suddenly starts to bleat. Yesterday it was Ramtar who after a few years suddenly awoke and remembered the Indian govt had offered some cash to help prop up sugar. While in office neither of these two puppets worked for their salary now they would like to be taken seriously. Gwan da side losers.

I actually agree with this call. The PPP could use the raise they got to help the workers.

Your Heroes Ramjattan and Moses promised 20 percent increase and that they would not close down Sugar Industries.

How about you confronting those two scumbags before calling on the PPP of which you so hated to help ?

The PPP will do what the PPP has to do, you deal with your AFC dead meat party and scumbags. The PPP does not need a PNC cut and paste expert.

Maybe you should wait and see then judge?

Even though Rohee is not the leader of the opposition or general secretary of the PPP, he has been vocal in his support of sugar workers and attended many demonstrations in their support.

Those of you living abroad might not know this or want to recognize it. Though I am not a fan of Rohee, I think that this criticism is not congruent with the facts.

I do not hear of anyone here going back and helping the sugar workers in their present predicament, since they think that GAWU and the PPP are not able, capable, effective, or want to represent them. What about a relief fund? Keyboard warriors who offer solace to themselves by their posting.

None from me. Too many thieves. What has GAWU done with the Union Dues it collected over the years?

I prefer to support my own families. Keyboard Warrior, what are you doing?

Very valid question. They need to answer this question.

Actually if you start a crowd funding initiative, have Bibi and Alena handle the funds.   I’m certain it will be in trusted hands.  I am serious and honest about this!
