This Tharoor guy is proposing that the British give India one British pound for reparations. Seeing that Mitwah get suspended maybe he can use the time to collect the one British pound from the British for Tharoor. Then the two of them can go and buy a one dollar lottery scratch ticket.

The funny thing is that the GDP of India is about to over take that of the UK and Tata and other Indian multinationals own quite a bit of that nation's economy.

It will be tough to convince British people that this is appropriate when icons like Jaguar are (or were) owned by Indian companies.

While reparations from non government entities might succeed governments aren't going to agree to this. And in this the UK, the USA, France and the Netherlands are in agreement. I believe that Sweden, which  had 5 slaves in one of the Caribbean islands, did agree.

That is exactly why India gets nothing.  If reparations due to the Caribbean runs into billions what do you think that it will be for India.

At that rate the only way that the UK could pay India is if they agreed to become a colony, except that Ireland, also with massive claims on the UK, will tie them up in court.
