Black retained as Achiever’s Youth and Sports Club President

David Black was retained as President of the Achiever’s Youth and Sports Club when the body held its annual general meeting recently in West Berbice.
The position of Vice President will be filled at the first executive meeting which will be held shortly since there was no on the floor nomination.
Carol Nurse was elected Secretary, Rockquell Bobb Assistant Secretary, Keon Joseph Treasurer and Sherwyn McPherson the Assistant Treasurer.
The club also nominated Captains and Vice Captains for its various teams. Krishna Sewlall was selected as Captain of the U15 team with Odel Miller as his deputy.
Christopher Harry is the U17 skipper and Adrian Samaroo the Vice Captain. Kris Ramnarine will lead the U19 side with Trevett Carmichael deputising. The club’s second division captain is Rennision Mitchell.
President Black said that the executive members are currently working on a programme of activities to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The club was founded on July 17, 1997 by Black.
