This may not be of much help but I know that a DeAbreau of Portugese origin from New Amsterdam, Berbice. There was a school called Guyana school of Welding at his residence. I left Guyana many many years ago and have no further information. Someone from New Amsterdam can shred some more light on this if the knew this gentleman.
Ken DeAbreu was a director of Banks DIH. A very popular Guy.
If this may help,there was a police detective by the name of De Abreau at Reliance police station ,East Canje Bernice Guyana.Look in the Guyanese directory for a possible listing of his children,by the last name .
