I hope the new govt don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. This institution must operate as some kind of an investment bank or venture capitalist on behalf of the state. In the most transparent manner, of course. Brazzy cannot be the new head.

I am not sure Guyana needs an investment bank or venture capitalist mechanism funded and driven by the state.
Per Carl Greenidge NICIL was never intended to be any kind of investment bank it was purely to divest of state assets and manage state corporations until divestment.
He mentioned that it was also there to manage minority ownership in companies like GTT etc.

I hope the PNC will not steal the PPP's development plan as they don't have one of their own. They never expected to win. They should learn from Burnham who took the PPP plans and tried to implement them, only to bankrupted the country.
