Ok folks

Nigel is allegedly now seen as a liability to the AFC and may not be named as their presidential candidate.

Is this a racist move on the part of the AFC ?

Is the AFC afraid the appoint an Afro Guyanese as their presidential candidate ?

Poor Moses will get the most votes and still remain vice chairman.

Is this fair to Moses who secures the most for the AFC ?

What do you say good folks ?

‘PPP leader swept corruption under the carpet’ – says AFC Vice Chairman

July 27, 2013 | By | Filed Under News

By Kiana Wilburg “I share in Ramkarran’s view that the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has become very intolerant of any criticism to do with corruption and corrupt practices and it is ironic that we were brought up in a generation of fighters in the PPP to believe that corruption in any form was intolerable.” Nagamootoo said that what former Speaker of the National Assembly, Ralph Ramkarran, has said is that in the post-Cheddi Jagan period, they had seen corruption still appearing and when they investigated, appropriate actions were taken. “Afterwards the floodgates were opened and the corrupt ones started to gravitate towards each other until they became a force.” The former Government Minister said that he too was attacked for going publically to voice his opinions, particularly in the Jagdeo period because, “ I have leveled accusations against people whom I felt were indulging in corrupt practices.” He added, “I believe that Ramkarran’s comments were just brought to bear post facto (after the fact) a situation that has been festering for a long time.” The Vice Chairman said that there have been various attempts by the government to sweep corruption under the carpet. “That is a tragedy for the people of Guyana. For example, we read about the situation with a security firm that is associated with the PPP, where they caught operatives of the security firm stealing laptop computers that were meant for poor people. “This is a classic case where a fence was erected to protect the crops but when you wake up in the morning you realize that the fence ate all the mangoes, so what do you do with the fence? You keep it?” Nagamootoo said that what is happening is that too many people that are associated with the PPP now, the post-Jagan PPP that is, are invariably caught in various levels of corrupt practices. To support his comment that those who dare to fight the “corrupt cabal” met with the whippings of the PPP, he recounted just one of his experiences while he was a member of the party. “When I was a Government Minister, I fired a Regional Executive Officer in West Demerara, Region Three, on allegations of corruption. I was later pushed out of the Ministry after a year and the guy was reinstated because he was a party man. “I was literally attacked for my position on corruption” He said that those who spoke about the comprehensiveness of policies of acts of corruption within the party were not only disciplined but sidelined. Nagamootoo said that there was also an abuse of the internal democratic process “where I said in writing to the General Secretary of the party at the time that there were simply Stalinist tactics.”

Do you really trust your children's future with the AFC/PNC party ?

All Guyana know the AFC holds the balance of power between the PPP and PNC.

The AFC's clout is a thorn under the PPP's derriere.

The PPP-PYO is therefore campaigning to scare Berbicians away from the AFC.

Truth is, the AFC is a proud independent force that nearly sank the PPP in the last elections.

Truth is Berbicians aren't scared of the PNC as the PPP-PYO want people to think.

When the PNC was in power countless Berbicians openly joined the PNC and many more secretly supported the PNC.

From Idris Deen to Mustapha Ally, from Joshua Chowritmootoo to the Majeed brothers and Harry Lall, lots of East Indian Berbicians cast their lot with the PNC.

Berbicians should stand up and tell the PPP-PYO campaigners bluntly they don't care whatever is peddled about the AFC.

A vote for the AFC is a vote for the AFC in Berbice.

And if some Berbicians vote for the PNC, so what? Their world won't end.

it is time the voters unite under trusted leadership. the afc and apnu should convene a conference with the intent of finding such a leader. under the present system, there is great distrust. And no one will win with a clear conscience of the citizens. Guyana's prosperity should mean more than partisan politic. Unite and move the country forward.

A vote for the AFC = A vote for the PNC better than a vote for the PPP/C.

Christ said if they right eye offends thee. pluck it out. If Hughes is a problem he will be excised. The fact remains Ms Webster is not dumped by the PPP for being accused of defrauding another similarly as Mr Huges is accused of doing. So, how about removing the mote from your eye?

Note, the accusation of him being Amalia falls project secretary is also clearly associated with his legal profession. It is not prohibited. Ramotar was on the board of OMAI and we have more definite problems with him here than this rukus the PPP is making with Hughes on Amalia Falls project. The company never declared a profit in their entire existence and they also made a big profit reselling Guyanese assets to t he Chinese, some 40 million to be precise. How the hell did they get the assets for so cheap in the first place simply to hold on to it and resell it. Those are questions you need to ponder first.

The AFC business is their own. Why are you concerned with it if it is not illegal, the People you reference never hinted at being neglected or over looked? Do you not have a legacy in the PPP where Cheddi and his Wife controlled everything ( giving us that crook Jagdeo) and later the PPP 15 member coven giving us Ramotar?
