Vehicle in PM’s convoy collides with  car at Agricola

On his way to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) on Wednesday, one of the vehicle’s in Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo’s convoy was involved in a minor accident in Agricola, Greater Georgetown.

The incident occurred around 08:00h amid the heavy East Bank traffic which usually prevails during that time in the morning.

When contacted, Traffic Chief Dion Moore confirmed that the accident did take place but could not provide Guyana Times with the details surrounding the incident as he was not in possessions of all of the information at the time.

According to information reaching this publication, the vehicle smashed into the car which was traveling in the same direction causing minor damage to the front bumper.

No one was injured but there has been no release from the Office of the Prime Minister on the incident. It is not clear if the Prime Minister’s office would compensate the owner for the damage incurred as a result of the accident.

Some of these Govt Drivers is typical of the drivers of the Burnham's PNC long ago.

They should go back to bicycle riding....its less pollution and its sustainable. Look at Beijing or in NY where so many people are going back to riding bicycle.

This is good solution. Many cities have specific bike lanes and will ticket a vehicle for using it.
