Engineer estimates $8.8M to renovate/build four CJIA washrooms

Two bids have been submitted for the construction of two washrooms in the arrival area of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) Timehri.
The bids submitted at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) for the project were C.B General Contracting Services which submitted a bid of $4, 149, 900 while Joshi Construction & Transport Services tendered a bid for $3,872,458.

The engineer’s estimate for the project is $4,607,066.
The same two companies placed bids for the renovation of two other washrooms at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. Joshi Construction & Transport Services placed a bid for $3,618,657 and C.B General Contracting Services submitted a bid for $3,603,941.
The engineer’s estimate for this project was $4,211,720.
This set of washrooms is in the duty free concourse at CJIA where passengers check in before boarding their flight.

The tenders were opened on August 30, last.
