Oil exploration started under the British colonial system and continued significantly after independence under Cheddi Jagan and Forbes Burnham until today.

Drilling and exploration works are in numerous places for about 100 years.

During the time when I was the Specialist Hydropower Engineer for the hydroelectric power works that were done in the Cuyuni, Mazaruni and other areas; Geologists from the Geological Survey Department, Guyana conducted separate and independent work in selected areas.

This is correct. Common sense can tell you that once oil was in Venezuela and Suriname it’s also in Guyana since Guyana is located on the same ocean plate.

Oil was discovered and sealed.  Now Exxon show up and re-discover.

It was PPP which started oil exploration much to mockery from the PNC and PPP will govern with oil in 2020.

PNC started with rigging and raping of the constitution and they will end up with Katahar.

Karma. You reap with you sow.

Oil exploration started since Burnham days. Even the Colonials saw oil residue in the Mabaruma area.

Who you fooling ?

WRONG!!! Oil exploration started in the 50s. I remember them sealing some wells drilled and sealed. Burnham was late. It was started in the colonial days.
