No accreditation records for school Irfaan Ali used for admission to Indian university

The diploma from City Unity College in Athens, Greece

PPP/C presidential candidate Irfaan Ali still faces questions over his academic credentials as there is still no evidence that the school that provided him with a transcript for entry into an Indian university on a Government of Guyana scholarship was ever accredited here.

After recently declaring that he had made all his transcripts and certificates public on his Facebook page, Ali has said that he has no further comments on the matter.

Even if the school was accredited it would not mean diddly squat. Guyana's accreditation system is for sale as we see with the proliferation of diploma mill. One "medical school" listed as having accreditation  when they did not even have a fixed address on the ground.  Note one Indian accredited school simply disappeared leaving the students in their personal limbo. This is not in defense of Ifaart. I think he is a crook so I would not be surprise if he faked his credentials. I am opposed to this line of reasoning as if it has foundation. It does not.

Smart people don't have interest in being preachers or politicians.

Some intellectuals and politicos refused leadership positions and stayed far from Guyana because they were worried about their and their families' safety. One died recently, many told him he should have been Pres., maybe his son will run one day.

I don't think so given that he is a dual citizen. Nonetheless, lawyers make good politicians as they are already familiar with laws. They are not all like Williams and Charrandas who didn't know what was in the constitution.
