The actor who made her acclaimed debut in the romantic-comedy Dum Laga Ke Haisha, celebrates her 27th birthday today with family and friends. 

Bhumi Pednekar brought a breath of fresh air with her acting and talent in her debut film. The National award winning film gave Bhumi a stable place in this film industry. 

She won many accolades for her performance from Stardust best female debut to Filmfares' best female debut. There has been no looking back, for her, since then. We will get to see her perform again in Manmarziya, an upcoming project.

She told her mother that she wanted to be an actress and the next thing she knew was that she was enrolled in a very expensive film school i.e. Subash Ghai's acting school Whistling Woods, for a year. She was of 16 years then.

The swaggy Bhumi

Bhumi used to send a reference audition to those actors who came from outside Mumbai. So, she did a mock audition and didn't realise that it was her first audition. She auditioned for the film for two months, and prayed that she would get the role and she did bag it on her birthday.
