KP,

Tough call, with three young kids that got to hurt and sad.

I went and saw a country man about a decade ago at the hospital, was a teacher who lived in Kastev and taught at Uitvlugt Primary,he was diagnosed with cancer went into remission then came back, his family was told of his time line, they never told him,he seemed happy never knew his demise,i can recall he said i fell like eating some Bajee, dhall and rice.

I looked at him feeling remorseful,in my mind i saying "one day we are here and then we are gone",a few days after he was gone.

Earlier one of my sister-in-law passed away with cancer at a young age, leaving 3 young children, that hurted badly, our wedding was on the same day,she married my brother-in-law and i married my brother-in-law sister,we were very close and migrated the same year,I prayed every day for her survival didn't happen, from then on my belief strengthened in Science,if we cant be saved that's it,I am no more a highly religious fella.

About 15 years ago a good friend of mine, went on vacation in Cuba, there he fell ill, went to the doctor but thought he had the flu. Upon return home, he went to his family Doctor, did X-rays and was referred to a specialist, who then told him he had cancer and had 30 days to live. He was told to tie up all loose ends, look after his will, inform his employer. After informing his close families he called me over, he looked good just as normal, I did not believe he was sick, one week after he was at the hospital he gained lots of weight, his organs were shutting down, then about 10 days after he lost lots of weight, looked like a stick, then a few days after he died. He listened to the doctor and made all the necessary arrangements, even his funeral plans, it was a shock to all, he was 64 years old. That's the cycle of life/death.
