The good life in Guyana is how people make it. It's not what politicians are talking and taking credit for. Politicians can provide a good life for Guyanese by eliminating crimes, and that's a task they can't even handle to begin with. So, why ask for the impossible?

What good would it do if they control crime and allow people to starve to death? Who do you think commit the crime?

Firstly, the government doesn't knock on people's door and give them free food to eat. That's a personal issue. Government business is to control crimes so that people can go to work and make an honest living without being plagued by criminals. There are two things here, what you can do and what government can do to make life manageable and successful.
