Chief why? The PNC is a coconut tree with no roots and is now considered a joke by most of its "supporters"......lets see how many will show up to a "APNU?" meeting in Lodge.

Most PPP supporters will never vote for the PNC or whatever they chose to call themselves as they try to hide their sordid past. So the AFC will attract their protest votes.

Thanks to Janet Jagan there can be no post election alliances so if the PPP gets fewer than 50% of the votes they stand alone and unable to get anything done unless they form an informal parliamentary alliance with one of the two opposition parties (assuming that the AFC is still there in a pwerful form).

The goal is to ensure that the PPP gets fewer than 50% so they will either learn to "play with others"......or a PNC/AFC vote of no confidence will send them packing, giving time for the opposition to establish proper grass roots organizations that can be a skeptical public to their side.

Its very unlikely that the PPP will lose. Its verty likely that the PPP will be a minority govt...which means a toothless govt...which means that the days of PPP arrogance will be over. Assuming of course they they dont form an informal alliance of hell with the equally rapcious and corrupt PNC.
