What diplomatic route should Granger have taken.  If Granger smiled and said nothing when Maduro pushed maps showing him all but making Guyana a land locked nation, no one, not even Trinidad, would have lifted a finger to "support" Guyana.

Understand something.  Guyana can only prevail by appealing to the consciences of nations.  We have nothing that any one wants, nor do we have any power to force any one to come our way.  It is the LOUD noises made by Granger which forced those who claim to be our allies to make "sympathetic" noises.

Had we run to Maduro to beg him they would have continued to ignore the issue.

What did the PPP acquiesce to Maduro achieve, even as that lunatic invaded Guyana, beat up Guyanese, seized Guyana property, and stopped exploration.  This on top of intimidating foreigners not to invest in Essequibo?

NOTHING.  Given that 23 years and boasts about the "cordial" relations with Chavez/Maduro, then why is there still a border claim?  Why is Venezuela still attempting to stymy Guyana's developing by stopping the exploitation of our natural resources, the vast majority lying in lands that they claim.

The PPP has done NOTHING to protect Guyana from Venezuela, and eve let little Suriname push us around!
