While there were those periods of Burnham and Hoyte's direct influence; Afro-Guyanese were freed since around the 1830's and gradually rose into the ranks of numerous influential areas.

I respectfully suggest you copy and paste less articles and concentrate more on making truthful statements like the above. The uneducated Indians (like Yugli, Dave, etc. who are more vocal here) would benefit tremendously from an elder Indian like you who has observed the above in your day. In fact our entire discussion would benefit.

As discussed on several threads, a black middle class of educators, nurses, civil service workers, tradesmen and small business owners ultimately emerged from slavery. That class of blacks fled Guyana under both Jagan and Burnham (moreso the latter). This notion of lazy, dunce, blacks who "cannot run a cake shop" peddled by Indian race baiters seeking dominance needs to be corrected.

For instance, look at the racist clown who says blacks are "poor" at management. Yet black run countries in the Caribbean and elsewhere surpass Guyana which was run by Indians for 23 years and none are on the DEA list as narco states!!!!!!

D2 which BLACKS run country in the Caribbean successfully. They govern by procedure and principle.

Which Black Country have a products “Made by Africans “ hum
