Agreed. And a considerable way to go with a society of people who are excessively prone to corruption and accept it as a way of life. Nevertheless, I am thankful for baby steps in the right direction, which has not been seen in decades.
The Stabroek News massaging of the numbers to distort the facts is noteworthy. The lack of condemnation of these tactics because of ideology or politics is sad.
Furthermore, none of the PPP supporters here will acknowledge that improvement in those corruption scores. This is the morass we find ourselves in, blinded by ideology or race and unable to call a spade a spade or give jack his jacket when necessary. It is this thinking that empowers the PPP and PNC that led us to where we are today. We are a sad excuse of a people.
