1. the estates has all races.

So your comment "Its a desire by this Afro government that is short sighted to punish Indo" is pure BS? Is your contradiction in these posts too simple for your advanced brain power?

More BS? "It is systematic approach to destroy the spirit of the Indian Community and to punish them for wanting a BETTER and more PROGRESSIVE GOvt!!!!"

If only you had/have relatives working in the sugar industry, your sentiments would be different.

What makes you think I don't? I was born and raised on a sugar estate. But that is irrelevant and you're missing the point. Sugar is not a viable industry. Revenue from DDL is not enough to maintain the number of factories in Guyana. Should the government implement a plan to aid the now unemployed? Of course. My suggestion is to allocate land to the people, similar to how people were given land in the polders, and support agriculture divestment to various produce. Do you know how valuable is the spice market?

Is the government wrong to not implement a plan for the livelihood of sugar workers? Of course. But I don't see you guys addressing that. All you're doing is screaming about the PNC govt victimizing Indians.

Cane sugar as a household sweetener is dead. No amount of screaming at the govt will change that. It died long before 2015. Let's address the issue of taking care of the workers and their families and the future of agriculture in Guyana.
