Good morning Carib.

Another disadvantage for a candidate like him, he has to deal with thE corrupt Queens Democratic  machinery who hand select a candidate.

The points you made are correct, hopefully he can make a little break through on the other side of the Van Wyck.

Yes this will be a low turn out election. Most people don't even realize that it is 6 weeks from now. Generally its the machines and the unions which get the voters out in these low turnout elections so if David isn't hooked into either it will be very difficult for him.

I don't detect that there is a groundswell of excitement for him among the Guyanese in this district. Correct me if you think that there is.  If there is then that might offset a low turn out on the other side of Van Wyck.

I suspect that New Yorkers have gotten bored with their local politicians anyhow. I remember there was a time when people actually thought that city council members were important. Now its like the judges. We don't know who they are and so we don't care, thinking that there will be scant importance in our lives.  City Council is quite corrupt.  It as bad as Guyanese politics.
