Reply to "Question for people of Guyanese origin living in other countries"

I wish I had never left and had stayed to work towards improving Guyana. I would return any time to live permanently but my wife wouldn't. The humidity doesn't bother me and I have traveled the length and breadth of Guyana during almost yearly visits in the last seventeen years or so. I'm comfortable using a latrine as well as eating fireside food. I can sit down under a bottom house and drink and gyaff or run across the savannah hunting and fishing or sit in traffic driving to GT. A little acclimatizing brings the patience to deal with the cultural norms in Guyana. I've taken both my older kids and my youngest and his mother enjoyed a yearly six-week visit except for last year.
