The problem of successful black women is because women (of all races) don't marry down. If 60-70% of the college educated blacks are women and black women prefer black men then clearly many will not find the type of black man that they wish. They don't want a less successful mate so they are more likely not to marry. There was a movie, starring Sanaa Lathan, "Something New" which dealt with this.
