There is a black family on Toucan Drive in South Ruimveldt who had their power disconnected a few months ago, for not paying their bill. It took them more then a week to have it restored.
There are also some families in Berbice who used cables to bypass their hydro meter and remove the water meter when they fill their overhead tanks.
