PPP is a party; Ramson is an individual.

The Partry is cold war detritus. It needs leadership and vision and youth to clean up there and creativity to govern the state.

The party Visionary is BJ.. he took Guyana from 1999 - 2011 and transform Guyana into a major economic and social reforms nation.

When he relinquished office, Guyana was concluding its fifth consecutive year of strong economic growth, often out-pacing all other countries in South America.

External debt had been almost halved, and external reserves were almost three times their 2006 level.

He came  back as opposition leader in 2015 and took a batter PPP to success at the LGE.

Guyana GDP Annual Growth Rate

The facts differs during Bharat Jagdeo tenure.

Django, you failed to realize that Jagdeo was responsible for "begging" for Guyana's debt forgiveness. The PPP did more for the people than the PNC did. There was no food shortage, no kick down door, no food lines, no restrictions on foreign currency possession. The list could go on and on. Because you support the PNC and Jagdeo is the head of the PPP and the PNC cannot bully Jagdeo, you are constantly being haunted by him. The PNC met their match in BJ.

It wasn't Jagdeo who succeeded in debt forgiveness. This was done for Cheddi, but he died before that process could have been completed.

And I do recall that all that you attribute to the PNC was pretty much gone by 1992. There were no longer shortages or currency restrictions. You ought to thank Desmond Hoyte for ensuring that Guyana had moved away from socialism rendering it impossible for the Jagans to implement their Cuba style communism.

The exchange rate was around 100 when Hoyte left. It tumbled to 200 under Jagdeo.

asgar ali was the man wid the brains, Cheddie brought him out of Jamaica bank.
