If Guyana had so much work why then did so many flee to Suriname, Trinidad, Grenada, Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, Montserrat, St Kitts Nevis, St Maarten, Anguilla, and Tortola.
There have been instance of rampant abuse of Guyanese in T&T and at least on TWO occasions Guyanese were KILLED by their Trini employers when they demanded to be paid for work that they had done.
People only migrate to other poor countries when they have no choice. This isn't the bright lights of NYC or Toronto we are talking about.
As to child labor. Statistics cited were for the coast. In fact most of the child labor is in casual vending and in the agricultural sectors and these kids were not regularly attending school.

And I note that you have no comment on the fact that child labor DURING PPP rule in Guyana was HIGHER than it was in Barbados or St Lucia.
Instead you want to invent a lie that Bajans are so desperate that some Guyanese Indian with a nasty grocery shop has anything to offer. In fact he will NOT hire black Bajans because they will demand at least US$5/hour and he can get a starving Guyanese Indian for less than 50% of that, breaking all the Bajan labor laws as he does so.
Nonsense, Barbados don't have Amerindians. These are the prime victims of underage prostitution. Second comes Blacks. There are negligible Indian under aged prostitutes due to strong family values, religion, social pressure etc.
