The rose bushes may need more frequent spraying. For the squirrels, I spray with a garlic & Scotch bonnet pepper mixture. This also help with the slugs and snails.
I make use of the banana peels, egg shells, tea bags etc.
My friend from Banglore thinks my front yard is "madhuban" and the circular bed represents the "Circle of life".

Wow, you guys take gardening very seriously. My son bought seeds online, put them in containers indoors, transferred the little plants to pots in the backyard, then put wire mesh around the area with the pots to keep out the squirrels. All I do is water them occasionally, and cook whatever he picks.
