You all love to quote US sources when it suits your purpose. Well Wikileaks revealed that the PPP was so corrupt and in cahoots with the drug barons that they refused to release any information about their drug interdiction plans. Their experience was that this was released to the barons within minutes of disclosure.
They especially didn't like releasing this data to Jagdeo. Luncheon was the only person who they half trusted. Jagdeo cried and wailed when Roger Khan was snatched by the US. This after he repeatedly refused to release him to them. He screamed that Suriname and T&T were CARICOM traitors to cooperate with the USA in this snatching.
G/T is filled with empty high rise buildings that functioned manly as money Laundromats for Jagdeo's friends. Drug runnings are way down from the PPP days. And yes occasionally drug busts actually happen in Guyana.
