Many of Opadeyi recommendations for improvement would work, including higher work loads.  Given their lack of production of research, why have they not suspended the sabbatical program whereby UG staff gets a whole year's leave with pay?  A bankrupt operation cannot afford such luxury.

I don't understand why workload for faculty is an issue. Actual teaching in front of a class is not the only work. People have to prepare lectures, do research and services. You need perhaps two tiers of faculty. Those who will stay as lecturers (some schools in US are now doing this) and some who will be on the path to professorship. The latter will require the sabbatical. I don't agree with jettisoning the entire sabbatical system. It is a matter of accountability. If one wants to be promoted one has to do the research. Why is that so hard?
