No. The PPP always picked from the first and only list submitted by the Opposition at that time. On two of those occasions, David Granger's name was on the list for a possible GECOM Chair. However, at that time Granger did not object to the fact that the person must be a Judge or that the person has to be fit and proper based on the perception of the President.
