Hi Ksazma, thanks for your reply. I hear what you say and I think there is some truth in that (internet hookups being mainly for sex). However, I think your statement is too broad. For those who live in Toronto, have a look at the "Dating diary" column which is in the Life section of the Saturday Toronto Star newspaper. In that column, real people who have gone on internet dates write about how the date went and what happened after. It is quite interesting. I would say about half of the dates work out quite well, and maybe 10 percent lead to a longer lasting, meaningful relationship.
Only thing I will say about what one reads on online dating sites is that when I was small, I used to think that the stories in the Penthouse Forum were also true.
