Islam preached and practiced by Muhammad and his early companions was a beacon light for the world that was falling into darkness. Its contribution to Europe and the Indian subcontinent is still felt today. Unfortunately modern day Muslim practices are geared too much toward politics thereby sacrificing its earlier contributions. This article was from the sixties when people were becoming Muslims because of the beautiful practices of Muslims. Today, some of the people becoming Muslims are doing so for the wrong reason i.e. violence. Good article nonetheless.
