Reply to "India's 'untouchable' scavengers"

That is a myth. The recruiters in Calcutta refrained from taking brahmins-because of their refusal to be diligent workers. Some did make it, but only after they had feined their castes-claiming to be a working caste. Back then, Brahmins had farmlands but they never touched a plough.
