Do we have a racist "I hate Black people" issue among Indos? Absolutely. Is it permanent? No. Is it a complex issue? Yes.
But I do understand your frustration and annoyance. We have legitimate racial issues to settle in Guyana and these petty remarks don't help. But there is hope for the future. On May 11th, substantial numbers of Indians voted for the Black guy for President (even in the Indo-Corentyne from my own family). A small but important show of good faith. Look on the bright side of things. We're not a failed State.
