Reply to "Hughes objects to PPP MP Sanjeev Datadin serving as Prosecutor in case against GECOM officials"

Now, this is stupid!  How can you have a PPP MP prosecuting an elections related case.  Whose idea is this?  Nandlall? Jagdeo? Ali?Datadin?  I have not seen anything as stupid as this.  Where did Datadin and Nandlall study law?  UWI?  I should have known.  Nigel Hughes is going to whip their behinds.  Remember, a prosecutor is supposed to be fair.

What the poster is suggesting that an attorney is incapable of honoring his sworn oath to the bar and courts. Perhaps s/he is projecting their understanding of all those attorneys in the PNC circle. Datadin is a very qualified attorney so he would be competent in this case. In any case there is a magistrate who will still ensure that he prosecute the case according to law.

Secondly, your point is well taken regarding Hughes. Indeed he was the guy who argued that 34 plus 32 equals 65. So him putting lash on Nandlall or Datadin is comical. Just look at how many times over the past 2 years Nandlall and Datadin demolished the Coalition's lawyers. If Hughes is their silver bullet it proves that their incompetence stood in the way of them using him instead of all the other lawyers who failed so miserably over the past two years.

And they are about to suffer even further indignation as the CJ has ruled that even Mingo's mutilated SOPs are admissible in the elections petition cases.

Just imagine Basil Williams and Neal Boston arguing the case? It would be a dog and pony show where the judge might ask for a psychological evaluation for both of them.
