I was on my back to the hotel when I stopped and picked up a young Bajan lady. She waved me down to give her a drop home. It was around 5:30 in the afternoon. She was on her way home from work. I asked her where she works. She told me she does, domestic work for a family meaning cleaning, cooking, and taking care of the kids. At Bathsheba beach I met an Indian family. The young father works for Barclay's Bank doing computer related work... a trained engineer. I also met a Bangladeshi national on a scooter who cooks for a restaurant on the island. hotels and banks bring in some of their workers to work on the island. I found a Trinidadian Indo selling water coconuts and a Venezuelan working on the Atlantis submarine. Many Guyanese does carpentry on the island. Indians from guyana are not stupid. They only do low paying jobs for a while. They are quick to better themselves. It's something that fascinates other group just like how Indians are fascinated by Chinese hard work and progress.
