Maybe suspects are afraid that they will get their lolo burnt with meyntalated spirits, or the prospects of beign reamed wider tham the mouth of the Demerara rive. coercion is easy when you are the upper hand, i.e police

For the women suspects, I heard they have a posey and they light a candle, put in the posey and have the women sit on the posey until they cannot bear it anymore. Is this good tactic or abuse?

bai skelly. that form of interrogation seem a little far fetch. Never heard that one.  But we may agree that them boys in Eve Leary do administer a good beatings from what I've been told. I heard they shock people too with an electrical device of sort. but I can't confirm this.

Bai Sheik, I thought this was far fetched also when I heard it. I heard this in the 80's sometime on one of my visits to Guyana. It had to do with the theft of gold jewelry. I was told that when the detective told one of his boys to get the candle, the lady volunteered and delivered the jewelry. There must be some truth to this or the threat of this happening. It makes for a sad commentary on the abuses of law enforcement.
