The super salary propaganda is grossly exaggerated. 700K to 1M each month is no super salary in Guyana at present cost of living which is higher than many parts of Florida. You had just a few people getting US$7 K each month. I know some of the people talking about super salaries count the lil G$15K for being on boards as super salary. They spread the rumor it is US$. Serving on a board in Guyana is just public service, but some of them who post here on GNI just can't wrap their heads around the notion that people can serve for service sake.
Sitting on boards is a gateway to lots of loot. It is never altruistic hence the reason only the same few were recycled by the PPP or the fact they had their kith and kin squatting on them. Ramotar sat on Omai board and during his tenure OMAI purchased Demba assets for 5 million. Four years later they resold it to BOSAI for 45. Surely that is not happenstance.
