They have a bridge and proper roads to reach the location. It would be much safer to use the roads rather than risking children lives crossing in boats.

The bridge is at the border between Watooka and Wismar, and about 15 to 20 minutes from the school at one end, and about the same distance from the bridge at the other end. So if you lived close to Christianburg and wanted to walk to a school in MacKenzie you are looking at a one hour walk. The boat will take you across in less than one minute from the moment it starts the crossing.

The question you posed further goes to demonstrate how little you guys know about Linden. It is this same crossing that many East Indian families used to try to escape the roaming killers during the terror period in Wismar. Some people actually jumped into the river and swam across since it is not that wide for a good swimmer.

Who talking about walking? Ever heard of school buses? This would have been a more worthwhile/safer investment.
