My thoughts on Indians in Guyana is quite clear. The majority needs retraining on their history from dalitdom to freedom. Most needs sensitivity training and most like you are confused as hell. This is not about contempt but an intervention.
At least they can build a house from concrete and processed wood. Unfortunately, in Africa they still cannot build a proper house or toilet. The houses are made of straw and mud. WE DALITS ARE PROUD AND PROGRESSIVE PEOPLE.
